Cinnamon is the collective name given to several plant species in the genus\u00a0Cinnamomum<\/i>\u00a0(family Lauraceae), including\u00a0Cinnamomum verum<\/i>\u00a0(syn.\u00a0Cinnamomum verum<\/i>; Ceylon cinnamon) and\u00a0Cinnamomum burmanni<\/i>\u00a0(Indonesian cinnamon), grown for their inner bark which is used as a flavoring. Cinnamon trees are small evergreens with aromatic bark and leaves. The leaves of the tree are thick and oval or lanceolate in shape, growing on smooth gray branches. The tree produces small yellow or green flowers on panicles and a berry fruit. Cinnamon trees can reach heights of up to 20 m (66 ft) in the wild but are usually coppiced to smaller bushes under cultivation. Cinnamon trees have an economic lifespan of approximately 10 years. Cinnamon may be referred to as cassia and originates from Asia.<\/p>\n

Pieces of dried cinnamon bark (quills) or ground cinnamon are used a flavoring in baked goods, confection or savory dishes. Oil extracted from the bark and leaves is used as a flavoring or scent in perfumes.<\/p>\n

Orders from India are shipped through Blue Dart, FedEx, Delivery, Gati, Express bees and India Postal Services\u00a0depending on the pin code, cost and time parameters. Orders from abroad port dispatched are Kolkata and Vishakhapatnam. Freight costs are calculated at Checkout, and are prepaid and added to your invoice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Standard\u00a0products canceled, called within 48 hours of the scheduled shipping date. We are sorry, but Custom Products cannot be canceled after the order is delivered. Returns of Standard Products and Individual Species must be made in the original unopened packaging within two weeks of delivery. Returns of Standard Products and Individual Specie are subject to a restocking charge of 20% plus freight charges. Custom Products may not be returned.<\/span><\/p>\n
